Tom's Bar, set in the 1940's in Chicago, is an expressive gray-tone colored, emotionally resonating masterwork by Berardi & Milazzo that has a feel of an old Hollywood noirs, not only by its themes, but also by the way the 'camera' moves in the story, as well as the rhythm of the story, which is often dictated by the sounds of blues and jazz that fill the spaces.
