There is absolutely nothing in the world but youth. And some men sacrifice their humanity to attain it. How easy it is for innocence to be corrupted. This is the crux of the story of Dorian Gray. Lord Wotton, a hedonistic aristocrat, introduces Dorian to a life of luxury and debauchery. A life without consequence. But realizing that his fleeting beauty is the only reason for his inclusion, Dorian Gray sells his soul and attains eternal youth.
